Career Services

Maintaining high placement rates takes a dedicated team focused on ensuring that graduates are prepared for their career as a nurse. By offering coaching and support at every stage of career development, DNI helps students put their education into practice through services, such as career coaching, resume assistance, interview training.

* The disclosed placement rates reflect historical outcomes of graduate employment and should not be relied on by anyone as an implicit or explicit representation or promise of future employability for any graduate.

Graduates are not included in the calculation if they are considered unavailable for placement, which include: death, military obligations, continuing education, or incarceration, or did not pass the NCLEX.

The placement rates are calculated by dividing the number of graduates who complete within 150% of the program length during the reporting period, were available for employment, and found a job in their field of training; by the total number of graduates available for employment. The reporting period for these placement rates was September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017.

Our Interview Ready process will afford you clarity and control over you next steps to secure employment. The Interview Ready process includes:

  • Overview of DNI’s resources
  • Effective steps for securing employment
  • Job openings

Graduation and passing the NCLEX isn’t the final step to a successful nursing career; it’s only the beginning. Trying to find an employer who is looking for nurses can be difficult if you don’t know where to look. DNI conducts exhaustive searches to place graduates with employers in areas that they would most benefit from.

The Office of Career Services at Dallas Nursing Institute has many resources to assist alumni seeking career advice. DNI is committed to serving as a resource to you throughout your career. Whether you are considering exploring a new job in nursing, or conducting a job search, we are here to help.

Explore Careers
Nursing is a profession that has many facets. Taking into account where their interests lie, DNI helps students assess what area would be most appropriate.  Whether it’s in hospitals, nursing homes, or home care assistance, students will be guided through our career profiles.


Career Tools
Crafting a compelling resume is a skill, and the interview process can be stressful. DNI Career Services provide training, tools, and samples to write a compelling resume, broaden your network, conduct yourself in an interview, line up references, and evaluate or negotiate a job offer.


Community Events
These events are centered on expanding health care services to underserved areas and educating the public on the importance of preventative care. DNI students benefit from these events through intellectual and personal growth, allowing them to develop hidden potentials and presenting opportunities for leadership development.
