Dr. Barrow earned her Ph.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her dissertation topic was "Prostate Cancer Intervention by Methylseleninic Acid: Strengthening a Case for Human Translation".
Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Barrow studied at the University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with an M.S. in Biotechnology and a B.S. in Biology. Additionally, Dr. Barrow is an active member of several professional societies, including the Golden Key Honour Society and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
Dr. Barrow has taught both nursing and undergraduate students in recent years, and is a strong believer in a positive attitude in the classroom. Dr. Barrow believes positive thoughts manifest into positive results.
Born and raised in the Caribbean, Dr. Barrow enjoys going to the beach whenever possible, spending time with her family and friends and participating in community service.
